My favourite market is having a bumper December with not just the usual one but THREE markets! The markets will be held on the 4th, 11th and 18th of December and the usual stalls will all be there as well as some new ones.

These are some of my favourite purchases from the i heart market over the last year:

My favourite antique stall has some really unusual finds such as these lovely copper pieces.

Lucky You Handmade is created by the very talented Sara Trickett. Her brooches and headbands are exquisite and guaranteed to be noticed wherever you wear them. Click here for more info.

This is a three-in-one picture! The jacket, one of my favourites ever, is by Cocktail. They always have a bargain box as well as rails of their latest items. The pendant is by talented local jeweller Geniveve Motley and the brooch by Whimsy. I have blogged about Whimsy before but just to refresh your memory, some of the things you will be able to buy are exqusite drawings, calendars, brooches, earrings, notepads, vinyl wall decals and anything else that has popped into the head of Whimsy’s creator, Amelia. On her blog, she has promised Whimsy delights already gift-wrapped and waiting to be slipped into a stocking. I can’t wait to see!

Lisa & Jo’s Stationery will also be on sale and you are guaranteed to find something for that tricky relative or friend. How about a beautifully decorated first aid box or a set of alphabet stamps?

The Thrift Collection, featured on Durban Diva this week will also be there with their vintage clothing.

My other favourites can be found on my last post about the i heart market… Go and have a squizz.

I do think that the i heart market is the perfect place to do your Christmas shopping: all handmade, unusual items in a pleasant outdoor-ish setting with lots of yummy treats on sale for sustenance. I am hoping to avoid the malls altogether this year! See you at the DLI Hall from 8:30 ’til 13:00. For more information see the i heart market’s blog.
