I was chatting to a friend in England last night when the lunar eclipse began. It was a clear bright night in Durban and the full moon was casting a path of light onto the sea. I described this whole scene to my friend who sighed in envy that we were going to get to watch the eclipse under such perfect conditions. “There is always such hype about an eclipse in England,” she said “but it’s always cloudy so we don’t ever get to see the event itself.” Once again , I felt grateful to be living in such a fabulous climate!

We didn’t get much by way of photographs, but this one was good, I thought:
