The view from my study balcony has been quite spectacular this morning. It’s such a pity I can’t capture the sound of rolling thunder and the plops of the huge raindrops, too.

The sky has changed minute by minute as the sun has got higher in the sky and the clouds meander along. Occasionally there is a flash of lightning over the ocean.

A flock of homing pigeons spends the morning exploring the sky of Durban North each morning. They swoop and glide and climb with such grace – almost as though they are of one mind. I love to watch them and the way they flash black or white as they twist and turn through the air.
